Heavenly Oreo Dessert

Image
Heavenly Oreo Dessert The name describes this dessert perfectly. It is heavenly… and dangerous. For your thighs, that is. It’s one of those desserts you can’t. stop. eating…… So don’t say I didn’t warn you! 😉 INGREDIENTS 1 (15.35 ounce) package Double-Stuffed Oreo cookies 1/2 cup butter, melted 2 packages (3.9 ounce, each) Instant Chocolate pudding mix 3 1/4 cups cold milk 2 (8 ounce) containers Cool Whip 1 (8 ounce) block Cream cheese, softened 1 cup powdered sugar INSTRUCTIONS Take a large zip-lock bag and place all the Oreo cookies inside. Seal bag shut and place on counter. Using a rolling pin, crush the cookies until they are small chunks/crumbs. You want them to still be chunky and small, but not fine crumbs. Set aside half of the cookie crumbs for the topping. Pour the other half of cookie crumbs into a 9×13 baking pan. Pour the melted butter over the crumbs and mix well to combine. Once combined, press into the pan to form a crust. In a bowl, whisk together the 2 pudding mixes...

Easiest Oreo Cheesecake

Image
Easiest Oreo Cheesecake This cheesecake is the perfect example of something that is simple, that can be made infinitely more complicated. Google a recipe for cheesecake and you’re sure to find methods that call for you to cook it in a water bath to keep it from browning or tell you that you’ve got to stand on your head while reciting the alphabet backwards for the last 14 minutes of the cook time to keep it from cracking. Ugh. Complicated. I’m here to tell you… this is not one of those recipes. Yes, this cheesecake will brown – on the edges AND the top. So what. And it will probably crack in the middle too. But guess what? It will taste just the same. Yep, sure will. And if you don’t like the way it looks, drizzle it with some chocolate syrup and add a dollop of whipped cream – heck, even a dollop of Cool Whip… yes, I said Cool Whip. This is seriously the easiest cheesecake. It’s perfect for when you need something UNcomplicated. Do me a favor and Pin this recipe if you like it! Helpin...

3-INGREDIENT NO-CHURN VANILLA ICE CREAM

Image
3-INGREDIENT NO-CHURN VANILLA ICE CREAM The easiest homemade vanilla ice cream recipe you’ll ever make. Just three ingredients and no ice cream maker necessary!  I had a hot debate with myself regarding whether or not to post this recipe since I tend to shield you all from the magical ways of heavy duty dairy and refined sugar, but in the end, the recipe won. It’s simply too good not to share. My primary reason for posting this recipe is it’s basically your gateway to all no-churn ice creams. Simply add your flavors (like peppermint extract, rum or other booze, peanut butter, caramel, cocoa, fresh fruit, etc), and you can prepare any type of ice cream you desire. One recipe is the gateway to all the fun. Plain vanilla, whaaaaaaa? INGREDIENTS 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk 2 cups heavy cream (1 pint) 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon sea salt INSTRUCTIONS NO-CHURN INSTRUCTIONS: Add all of the ingredients for the ice cream to a blender. Blend until well-combined....

Super Easy, Super Moist Chocolate Cupcakes

Image
Super Easy, Super Moist Chocolate Cupcakes Easy to make, unusually moist chocolate cupcakes and no mixer required! No eggs either, the recipe uses a combo of baking soda and vinegar for leavening. The coffee (and the salt) help intensify the flavor of the chocolate. If you don't have or don't want to use coffee, just skip it and use water instead. If you do use coffee, just use what would be considered regular strength coffee (or slightly weak coffee) in America, not something super concentrated like espresso. If caffeine is an issue, use decaf. If you want to make a cake instead of cupcakes, double the recipe and use two 8-inch round cake pans and cook for 35-40 minutes. INGREDIENTS Cupcakes: 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup brewed coffee (or 1 cup of warm water mixed with 1 1/2 teaspoons of espresso powder or instant coffee granules) 1 Tbsp white vinegar 2 teaspoons vanilla extr...

If you have friends or family on this or that diet, this is a dish that just might please everyone (well, except for meat-only eaters). The soup is vegetarian, gluten free, vegan, and paleo, yet still packs a great and will leave you feeling full." This soup is intended to supplement a diet. The soup itself is not a diet. So if you’re whipping up a batch of this soup, please remember that it’s only meant to be a snack or to replace one meal a day. You should still be following a diet that includes other foods that will help round out your daily nutrition intake. Your diet should not consist of this soup alone. For example, this soup was designed to be part of the GM Diet. The GM Diet has different food themes every day, and this soup is only meant to be something you can make in advance and serve whenever you’re feeling a little hungry. The soup is your “free food” for the week, but it’s not the only food you should be eating. Ingredients 1/2 tsp olive oil optional 4 larg...

Spinach avocado pasta

Image
Spinach avocado pasta Avocado is many of our favorite. I usually prepare guacamole, chapathis. This time I tried with pasta which turned out very yum!!! When searched in Google, I got the recipe with basil. Actually I wanted to use fresh basil instead of spinach but I didn't have that, so tried spinach which was also very tasty. If you are using basil you can just pulse it. No need to cook. Spinach avocado pasta was very creamy without butter and cheese. A very quick recipe indeed.  Ingredients: Pasta - 2 cups Spinach - 1/4 cup Avocado - 1 Garlic - 2 Olive oil - 1 tbsp Pepper and salt - to taste Lemon juice - 2 tbsp Method: Boil the pasta as per package instruction. Drain it. Heat a small pan add a tsp of oil with spinach and garlic. Saute till it is cooked. Using a food processor or blender pulse the spinach with ripe avocado, olive oil, pepper, salt and lemon juice. Pulse till creamy. Mix this creamy mixture with cooked pasta. Serve immediately. Note: If you like it to be spicy, ...

The Best Soft French Bread

Image
The Best Soft French Bread This soft and fluffy french bread is better than store-bought and so easy to make! Is there anything better than fresh french bread, hot out of the oven? The smell, the crisp crust and the soft and fluffy inside... it's enough to make my mouth water, just thinking about it. I remember years ago, when I was pregnant with my oldest, having dinner at my best friend Cort's house. I can't remember what she cooked for dinner, but I remember that she made the most amazing, melt-in-your-mouth delicious french bread, and I couldn't stop eating it. I'm going to blame it on my pregnancy (although it's not like anything has changed since then...), but I just kept shoving slice after delicious slice into my mouth. I probably ate at least half a loaf by myself (sorry, Cort!). At the time, I was terrible at baking bread, and after that night I added "bake perfect bread like Cort" to my lifetime goals list. I asked Cort for her recipe, of co...

MOZZARELLA STUFFED MEATLOAF

Image
MOZZARELLA STUFFED MEATLOAF Flavorful ground beef stuffed with ooey gooey mozzarella cheese. This Mozzarella Stuffed Meatloaf is sure to become an instant family favorite! This recipe is a classic Italian-style meatloaf, stuffed with fresh mozzarella cheese. Cutting into the loaf and watching that cheese ooze out will totally make your mouth water. My 6 year old went into zombie mode, eyes fixated on dinner, saying “me hungry! me hungry!” Too bad for him, he had to wait for a photo shoot. But not you! The glaze is sweet and a bit tangy with garlic creating a beautiful complimentary pairing with the Italian-spiced loaf. I’m telling you, the mozzarella in the middle makes all the difference. It may very well put you in zombie mode too! Many people have asked if you can add different kind of cheeses in the middle. Of course you can! But I do prefer slices of fresh mozzarella cheese (rather than the loaf kind). It produces the most ooey gooey results. You can always adjust it to work with ...

Best Zucchini Bread Ever

Image
Best Zucchini Bread Ever Seriously…this IS the Best Zucchini Bread Ever! A few weeks ago, my husband Jack returned from a business trip singing the praises of some delicious zucchini bread that one of his co-workers named Troy had brought to the meeting to share with everyone. It was a homemade zucchini bread baked by Troy’s wife Lannette – and Jack said it was the Best Zucchini Bread Ever! Seriously – Jack would not stop talking about this zucchini bread! For days, he talked about how moist and delicious it was, and that it was perfectly sweet and spicy. And for days, Jack pestered Troy for the recipe so we could make it at home and possibly share it here on A Family Feast. So I was thrilled when I was introduced to Lannette – and she graciously allowed us to share the recipe with all of you. Scroll below to our recipe card to watch a video showing how it’s made. This really is the best zucchini bread ever! It is super moist and almost cake-like thanks to a generous amount of shredded...

Creamy Garlic Herb Mushroom Spaghetti

Image
Creamy Garlic Herb Mushroom Spaghetti Mushroom spaghetti with a creamy garlic herb sauce? Okay, this is capital L-O-V-E on so many levels. I know – technically, this probably would have been a better fit for Meatless Monday. It’s a nice way to change up spaghetti and make it something a little more veg-friendly and, um, what’s the word? GAHHHHH? But when we’re talking about butter and garlic soaked mushrooms tossed with fresh herbs and coated in a creamy sauce all served up on steaming hot pasta – ♡♡♡ – let’s get real. That, my friends, does not need a Meatless Monday. In my world, that can happen any day of the week. This is not a new conversation around here, but I always feel the need to let you guys know: I haven’t always been a mushroom lover. Something happened to me a year or two into the food blogging game that made me go from a mushroom h8er 4 lyfe to a Professional Mushroom Eater. I’m, like, 900% sure that that something involved butter and garlic and white wine in a sizzling...

CREAMY GARLIC PARMESAN MUSHROOMS

Image
CREAMY GARLIC PARMESAN MUSHROOMS Creamy Garlic Parmesan Mushrooms are sautéed in a butter garlic until tender and then tossed in the most AMAZING creamy parmesan sauce. These are great as a side, on top of meat or eaten by themselves and ready in under 10 minutes! I am not the biggest mushroom fan in the world to be honest. Two things that I am not hugely fond of are mushrooms and shrimp. But my hubby loves both of them. So I have to cook both of those things every once in a while just to keep him happy.  But I have grown to like and eat both things and I especially love mushrooms if they are sautéed in a creamy sauce. These mushrooms have gotten me OBSESSED. They are the best mushrooms that you will ever eat! It begins with sautéing them in a butter and fresh minced garlic until it is tender. But then bring on the heavy cream and turn this dish into something fantastic! The heavy cream+parmesan+garlic+cream cheese…. This is a recipe for perfection! These make a delicious sid...

MOST DELICIOUS MEATLOAF RECIPE EVER

Image
MOST DELICIOUS MEATLOAF RECIPE EVER You’ve come to the right place if you’re looking for a delicious meatloaf recipe that will become a family favorite! On my road trip through Montana, we stopped at a bakery cafe that had a meatloaf sandwich as the special. Yummmmmm…comfort food. I just love a delicious meatloaf recipe. “You can’t go wrong with relatively simple comfort food. It’s also about ease. Some cook to impress. I cook for people to enjoy the food.” Al Roker The restaurant that we went to had 4 1/2 star Yelp rating – so it seemed so promising. The meatloaf was dry and bland. What a let-down! This prompted me to crave my recipe for meatloaf because it’s quite frankly…amazing. Bold statement, I know. But I do have many supporters. When the topic of my meatloaf sandwich came up – my niece and nephew asked my sister why she didn’t make her delicious meatloaf anymore because it was one of their favorite meals. Yes, you read that right – her meatloaf. My sister is a notorious recipe...
